Buzz Buttons Tincture is a cold/flu prevention tincture made with organic Spilanthes (also known as Buzz Button, Electric Daisy, Szechuan Button, and Toothache Plant), organic Lemon Balm, organic  Echinacea, and alcohol. Spilanthes has antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties that help treat oral problems like canker sores, and dry mouth. Spilanthes contains spilanthol which has analgesic effects that helps treat toothaches, gum disease, and sore throat. Additionally, Spinalthes has been known to have antioxidant and diuretic properties that help cleanse your body.

The Buzz Buttons Tincture also contains Lemon Balm (calming herb that helps relieve indigestion) and Echinacea (immune-boosting). Along with Spilanthes, these herbs make-up a trifecta that gives your body a fighting chance against germs, bacteria, and other ickyness that looms.

The tincture comes in a 2 oz glass bottle with a dropper. Lasts up to a year in your medicine cabinet. For longer shelf-life, refrigerate.

  • As a cold/flu/indigestions remedy:

Take a dropperful of the tincture when the first symptoms of illness appear.  Depending on your palate sensitivity, you may ingest as is or you may mix with a little bit of honey in your tea or other beverage.  For an upset stomach, I recommend mixing the tincture with ginger tea or ginger ale!

Because Spilanthes does not discriminate on the bacteria it kills, do not take the tincture for more than 7 days in a row as it may deplete your gut of good bacteria.  A happy gut is a happy body, so you could also supplement with probiotic/fermented foods like kimchi, kraut, or kombucha.

As a mouth rinse for oral hygiene:

Take ½ to a dropperful of the tincture (with a little bit of water if you wish but not necessary) and swish well in your month for at least 30 seconds. You can spit out or swallow to maximize it's multipurposeness.

This is a home remedy for symptoms of the common cold and flu. For serious illness, questions or concerns, or if you start feeling worse, please consult your family health care provider for advice and/or treatment.
